2UP is Australian hip hop at its most ridiculous, with fresh, humorous lyrics that appeal to people within and beyond the underground hip hop scene. Alongside MCs Breaker J and Maccy D, producer Mez provides the perfect backdrop with his assortment of finely-tuned beats and renowned DJ Diverse adds his unique skills on the turntables. 2up first made a blip on the Australian music radar in 2001 when they sent an unreleased demo track to JJJ’s Hip Hop Show. The track “Why Do I Try So Hard” became a station favourite and reached the number one in its Weekly Net 50 Chart. After releasing the 6-track EP "Tastes Like Chicken" 2up continued to enjoy regular prime time airplay on Triple J, and the film clip for "Why Do I Try So Hard?" became a regular on Rage and a Top 5 Clip of the Week on Channel [V]. After distributing 2up's first EP, Creative Vibes have gotten behind the group for their highly-anticipated debut album release "PLAYER'S CLUB” which is due out on October 25. 2up represents a new breed in Australian hip hop. Fresh, funky, funny and unmistakably local. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
